The vessel passed all sea trials |
THE Maritime Zone patrol vessel, Piloto Pardo, built by ASMAR Shipyards for the Chilean Navy for EEZ vigilance, has successfully completed sea trials.
The vessel was submitted to severe testings of systems, engines at continuous high speed, electronics and others.
Of a total of 101 hours at sea, 81 were actual high sea operations and the remaining 20 were anchoring and berthing.
The vessel covered 555 miles, during which it travelled at top speed for 47 hours continuously.
During the navigation, it was also submitted to maneuverability, range, resistance and operational systems tests, which were all completed as planned.
ASMAR will officially hand over the vessel to the Navy on June 13.
