2. I can't open any PDFs

The best way to see the PDFs are to save them to your hard disk - as described above, then open them with the latest version of Adobe Reader.

It is possible that your Web browser, not Adobe Reader, is trying to open the PDF. This could work (see question 1). If you clicked on the publication and a blank window opens, wait a while for the page to load. Once the download opens, you can also save the publication to disk by clicking FILE - > SAVE AS. If available, you can also click the floppy disk icon on the browser bar.

FISHupdate publications can be opened with Adobe Reader version 5 and 6 but we recommend Version 7. You can get the latest version free from Adobe.

If you're still unable to open the PDFs, Adobe has an excellent support site to assist with the downloading, upgrading, opening, printing and general troubleshooting of PDFs. Go to http://www.adobe.com/support/products/acrreader.html

3. The PDF I've downloaded gives me an error message.

This can happen when the website has a lot of traffic, try and download the file once more. If you still have trouble, check out Adobe's support website for troubleshooting PDFs. Also make sure that you have the latest version of Adobe Reader.
